Who we are
The Build is an online course platform operated by Now I Know LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). You can reach us at dan@thecommsstack.com.
What information we collect
We collect the following information when you use The Build:
- Email address — when you create an account, make a purchase, or sign up for our newsletter.
- Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We never store your credit card number or billing details on our servers.
- Usage data — pages visited, time on site, and general browsing behavior, collected via Google Analytics.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide access to courses and content you have purchased
- Send you magic link sign-in emails via Resend
- Send you The Comms Stack newsletter, if you opted in
- Process and manage your payments through Stripe
- Understand how people use The Build so we can improve it
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate The Build. Each has its own privacy policy.
- Stripe — payment processing
- Supabase — account database and authentication
- Resend — transactional email delivery (sign-in links)
- beehiiv — newsletter platform
- Google Analytics — website analytics
- Slack — member community workspace
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to track usage patterns. These cookies do not contain personally identifiable information. You can disable cookies in your browser settings or use a browser extension to opt out of Google Analytics tracking.
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel a membership, your account record is kept in case you return. You may request deletion at any time.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing dan@thecommsstack.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email. Continued use of The Build after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
